Due to being a bit worried about the possible new Hetalia fans that are coming in due to Hetalia: The World Twinkle releasing episodes and also the Hetalia World Stars strips (and I do not want another repeated incident where someone gets bullied by immature brats who think they're right and others are wrong just because we can all have different opinions), I figured why not start a journal series on the Hetalia characters?

Usually also because nowadays, I'm rather disturbed at how badly OOC the characters can be to the point I'm like, "Do you even read the strips? This doesn't even look like this character but a poor excuse to make your pairing/reader insert/cheap plot/bashing happen."

And though it's nice to have head-canons, it is not nice to have OOC-ness: I personally find it unprofessional and boring. Especially because the characters aren't yours to begin with. With new fans, it's excusable as because they're new, and face it: we've all done that in the beginning.

But to insist a blatantly false characterization or aspect as canon is just plain dumb.

So, in a way - this is also a bit of a map on the characters. What makes them the character, and what they're like: you can probably use the series as a reference if you want to do a plot, and need something to look at.

It would run as following:
:star: Summary (who they are, who or what they represent, role in the series - basic information)
:star: Personality and behavioral study (CANON only - also may include some analyzing on how a character works)
:star: Relationships (CANON only - one of the biggest damning things to make a character OOC is this; NOTHING is canon except for Chibitalia x HRE, and I will be objective in this, don't worry - most of my ships are crack, so I can't really include them in here, anyway).
:star: Addressing Complaints (if anyone has written a complaint on a character's portrayal, I'll include it here and add why the complaint is either right or wrong - because seriously, I've seen both ends. People complaining about how immature fans think France is a rapist are in the right to complain about that; while there are others who complain about there being no point of the Hetalia girls, and these fans are definitely in the wrong)
:star: Do's and don't's (conclusive summary)
:star: Head-canons (because I know that there are some people who like doing them, I'll include people's head-canons of a character here: also think of it as a bit of a Hetalia meeting where we all can have a civil and mature discussion on these kinds of things. =^^= )

Now, the first question for everyone.

:bulletred: Which character should be the first in the series?

Obviously by the end of the series, I'll have completed everyone (hopefully). However, because I do like to interact with fellow Hetalia fans, I'd like to know - who should be the first country in the series? :D

You can also add why you think the character should be assessed. Reasons can include: shitty portrayals in fan works and stories, underestimated (e.g. a rare character), or just because you like them and want to see an entry of them and talk about them in the comments section with fellow Hetalians (and maybe even meet some new friends or something =^^= ).

It'll be all about accuracy, but also fun.

[Journal Series - will get updated after every entry]
1. :bulletblack: :iconyaybelarusplz:  Hetalia Character Journal Series - BelarusThe votes have spoken, and so the nation to have the first entry shall be Ms Belarus! :D and out of all of the characters, I do think Belarus does need this.

I apologize if it seems a bit jumbled - but maybe after another entry, I'll get the hang of it. >w< I just hope to create a series that helps Hetalia fans from flanderizing, and to also introduce new fans and guide them along.
Now, we shall begin, yes? OwO

Voting is now open!

In lead: :iconyayrussiaplz:

You can also vote for a Nyotalia character if you want, as there are issues and complaints with some of them, and some also have canon personalities.

Note: If you say "Nordics" or "Baltics" - that will equal one vote for each of them.

Note 2: Every time I update the journal and it needs votes on a character, the maximum you can vote on a character will be three times. Once that is breached, you can no longer vote for them until the next entry where a new nation has to be chosen.

Note 3: Not all the characters are up there. If someone's not up there, feel free to vote for them, and they'll be added in the list of potential's! :D

Note 4: However, if you simply say "Nyotalia" - I won't count your vote, as there's too many Nyotalia characters. Be more specific here, please.

Note 5: If you want to share a link to any of my journals to other media like Tumblr or Wattpad, then go for it! :D

Note 6: If you vote for a 2P, it will only go to a single vote for a single entry which will address ALL the 2P's.

Note 7: As of now, you cannot say "Hetalia Girls" due to a couple of them already being done. You have to state their names.

Note 8: You cannot say "I vote for all characters."

Note 9: Only vote for canon characters, please.
